CARTIER COUSSIN

The Coussin is without a doubt the most original watch from the very classical 1973 Louis Cartier collection thanks to its unusual naturalist shape. Although named "pillow" in french, the Coussin's sides seem to draw bamboo stalks in a style reminiscent of Maison Charles, Jansen or Baguès chinoiserie furniture productions still in vogue in the 70s.

Produced in limited quantity and long forgotten, Cartier made a surprise tribute to the watch in the form of a Coussin shaped belt buckle in 1995. Ironically, this gold-plated belt buckle is today even rarer than the watch it is inspired from. Who is collecting belt buckles after all.
